Meet The Founder
Rania Qawasma
Rania is a community architect in Seattle, Washington and focuses her work on social justice and equity. She designs affordable housing and sees it as her mission to help ensure all people have the right to a home, something that has been denied to countless Palestine refugees like herself. Whether in her local under-served neighborhoods in Washington state or towards her fellow displaced and under-served people elsewhere, she hopes her work as an architect will help people create a space that allows them to feel safe and secure.
Rania’s passion came from her fascination by the stories Palestinians create of their homes, streets, villages, and places they share. This sentiment has only been magnified given her family’s experience with displacement and their narrative around what home really looks like.
Though Rania is now based in the Pacific Northwest, Palestine will always be her home.
